JUNE
On June 28 the EDSA Evolution shall take place. This is a Road Sharing Exercise to demonstrate the effectiveness of road sharing, a necessary step in the shift towards a bicycle friendly Philippines.
The North and South Bound lanes of EDSA will be outfitted with temporary bike lanes on the Right most side. Bus operators (in photo) have agreed to abstain from encroaching onto the Bike Lane to take down or pick up passengers. Private Vehicles will be given the left most lanes for their use
This is something we must and can do for ourselves with the support of our government in order to ease the traffic problems in our cities, alleviate air pollution (90% of air pollution in Metro Manila is Caused by Motorized Vehicles), create efficiency of use, everyone saves money and will get to their destinations reliably within a reasonable amount of time
OFFICIAL BIKE PARADE:
Assembly is at 6am near the Bikers Cafe @ Mall of Asia where we shall ride the North Bound Bike lane to ortigas and the South Bound Bike lane back to MOA. Ride out at 7am SHARP. Please join us! See you on June 28!

FEBRUARY
Dear Cycling comunity.
Please meet us at the Quirino Grandstand at 6am on Sunday February 15, 2015.
We need your support in making bike lanes/paths and road sharing come true. We have been working with partners to effectively lobby for bicycle lanes.
On Feb 15, 4 am – 12 midnight, two lanes of Roxas Blvd from the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta all the way to Mall of Asia will be dedicated only to pedestrians and cyclists.
This will serve as a proof of concept for DPWH, DOTC, Motorists and other stakeholders who have given us the cycling community this opportunity to show them that road sharing is possible, makes sense and that permanent Bicycle Lanes/Paths must be made.
A signature campaign to end all signature campaigns will be launched, to create local ordinances in all Barangays, Municipalities, Cities and Government to improve public transportation, provide proper sidewalks and bike lanes all throughout the country. An online sign up will be coming out soon.
We need everyones help in this. Thank you, see you on Feb 15 🙂
JANUARY
Sunday, January 11, 2015. Start 3pm @ Tiendesitas Sulok Function Room.
Attire: Formal or Business Attire
To start the year, help make a statement that cyclists are people too, that we have just as much right to use the road and that we are just as respectable as motorists behind the wheel. Lets look our best and wear formal Barong or Business attire to bike around the Business Districts of Metro Manila.
The bicycle represents an immediate and practical solution traffic problems and air pollution. Cycling is also good for the health and the economy because we will save so much on road construction and repair as well as our dependency on fossil fuels, so citizens can invest and spend more on products and services that will improve their quality of life.
