In support of the PNP Law and Order efforts and the DILG BIDA Program
What is this program about?
This program is for Bike Groups who want to help promote law and order in the Philippines. Through the PNP, each bike group can now directly anonymously report any criminal activities the the PNP for immediate action. Some examples are:
- Illegal parking on Bike Lanes
- Fake/substandard bike products
- Bike napping
- Reckless drivers
- Abuse of power/authority
- Any other activity that breaks any law
How is this better than reporting to Barangay’s, Concerned Government Agencies and Local Government Units
Reason #1: Anonymity/Safety
Reporting to the Barangay, LGU or Government agency requires you to present yourself usually with a signed report, proof of identity and the like. A lot of people get discouraged from reporting because of fear of identity exposure and possible retaliation.
Reason #2: Speed
Reporting to the Barangay, LGU or Government agency requires a lot of paperwork and documentation, after which you would need to return for hearings, dialogues. It is time consuming and exposes your identity. Reports sent through the Bikers for Justice Program will be investigated by the PNP who will directly coordinate with the concerned Barangay, LGU or Government agency.
